After reading the book. I happened to watch its movie. I never realized how divisively twisted divorces can be when children are involved. The movie seems to portray the ex-wife poisoning their crippled wheel-chair-ridden child against the boy's dad, using the boy as a wedge and weapon. I question the movie's accuracy & truthfulness? Was the father a money grubber, exploiting his son's permanent injuries? Something is askew. I can't imagine a father exploiting his son's life crippling injuries for money. The aftermath of the boy's family life, after book publication & the legal battles between wife and husband seems bitterly and emotionally devastating. I wish I'd never seen the movie. Though I have strong spiritual beliefs about afterlife, I no longer know what to believe about the book or its film portrayal anymore. Bickering & fighting can only leave its family members in emotional shambles. The story's inspirational power and authority seems now diluted. Read full review

I just had to have this book when I read about it online. I got to read the first chapter from a link provided, and I could hardly wait to get it. I purchased it from Ebay, which had the best price. Anything I can read concerning Heaven sparks my interest. My heart simply went out to this dad, who I definitely can relate to. Busy, distracted, but a parent who loves their children so much, and would die for them at any given moment. I just know this little man, Alex, will be a great man for God one day, to whom he gives all the glory. This book will always be dear to my heart. My daddy is in Heaven, and the more stories I can hear about it, the more I just know he is so happy, as will I be one day too. The way the book describes Alex's visits to Heaven remind me of the visits my daddy has made to come see my mother and me(in our dreams). We call them premonitions from God. But daddy has told both of us stories about things which have come to pass, for example, he came to my mother before I knew I was pregnant with my third child, and he told her I was going to have a baby, which was 2 weeks before I found out I was indeed pregnant. He also told me that he would be with me when I had this child because he knew I said I wished he could be with me when the baby came, which I ONLY told my mother that. He told me also what it was like to die and about all the angels and Jesus who took him to Heaven. This book refers to some of the exact same things my daddy told me about, after he had died. So my whole life relates to this book, and it is not only a true inspiration to me, but I know it will be to anyone who reads it. This man is a blessing to me, that he took the time to write this book for his son, Alex, and Alex is a blessing also, because he will show God's true power through the healing of his physical body, and through the hearts he helps lead to Christ. God bless this family always! Lisa MitchellRead full review
I recently lost my sister whom I was very close to. I donated a kidney to her 21 years ago and we spoke every day since then like clockwork. My grief and willingness to accept the fact that she is gone has been difficult at best. Professional counseling helped take the edge off but this book has really given me the insight that I personally need to truly understand that my sister is with God and in a much better place than here. As she laid in the hosital bed on life support she could have come back but she knew that her family and the rest of us would be fine. Because of where she knew she was going to she made the decision to see God. Although I am a life long Christian, this book has given me the solace and serinity that I need to know that my sister is truly with God and that she is exactly where she has always wanted to go. The first two chapters are very tough to digest, but a very necessary part to fully understand the beauty of this story and to have a much more firm grasp of the power of God.Read full review
I found the story to be remarkable. There is no way a small child of his age could make up such things. The book is well written and I like how there is input of other people who are involved in Alex's life. I pray the young man walks again.
I loved this book, I read it because I needed a peace of mind about things like miracles, family members, angels and after I read it things seem more conforting to me. I would recoment people to read it. I didn't dislke anything about it to me every thing I read in it was very truthful.
