Better than a sharp stick in the eye...
These hinges did allow me to repair a broken laptop, but they are not great. They fit correctly, but a screw hole on each one was not threaded. I had to leave out 2 screws in an already poorly designed screen mount. They are useful in that they allowed me to keep an otherwise fully functioning laptop in service, but they are not particularly quality items. They work...with one caveat
I needed to replace a pair of broken hinges in my Dell laptop. These fit, and seem to be of decent quality, but there's one big flaw: they're very loose. The original Dell hinges would hold their position easily, with the screen never falling down. These replacement hinges, however, are fairly loose, and the display can fall closed or back to completely flat if you're not careful.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Tend to not work
These might be "like new" but if they've been sitting since this laptop was still shipping, there's a good bet the hinges won't move. I've tried white lithium grease but there's no way to work it into the hinge effectively. My guess is that this is why so many broke in the first place.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
