This marks the second rebuild I've had to do on my Jeep's straight-six (in a row). The first time, I used generic lifters and soaked them prior to assembly - apparently Jeep doesn't advise that. So, I had to start all over again when they became stuck - I bought the best (see Mopar) lifters and things seem to be alright so far. Generic lifters - $5 each, genuine Mopar = $25 each... just by virtue of the fact that they're five times the price they're not a good value, but these are some of the best-priced lifters around. They come packaged individually in a Mopar box with oil paper wrapping.
