It does the job but could be better
Its probably made by Stant as it reminds me of the locking Stant gas cap I had with my last vehicle. Its not the easiest to get off and the quality is not the best but there aren't any other choices right now so I went with it. Over the past 20 years I have had a number of these Stant gas caps on different vehicles and none have broken yet but the quality keeps going down in my opinion. I would rather of paid twice the amount I paid for this cap for a better easier to use gas cap but again no options out there.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Gas cap light has been on every since install
Check engine light has been on every since I put this cap on weeks ago and several full ups. Twisting it plenty of times and it still does not seal properly. Time to put the stock one back on and throw this one in the trash. The Cap Works Good
The quality of this gas cap is the same as the original. It doesn't have a strap. It did not come with instructions & took some time to figure out. The user must twist the cap on clockwise firmly & then turn the cap counter clockwise. The cap will turn endlessly, but it is locked. To unlock it, insert the key & twist the key a 1/4 turn (leave the key in). Then twist the cap counter clockwise & the cap will come off. Not the best quality item Mopar has made
I thought because it was genuine Mopar it would have a little more quality to it... Feels kind of cheap but does the job. I'm unsure how well this will hold up. This does not function correctly.
the plate that covers the lock will not allow the key to go in easily. You have to fight it until it allows the key to go in. Maybe it's a one-off problem or not, I don't know. Can't say I am happy with this purchase, but it keeps my gas tank protected.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great to secure your lift jack
