Good Part, Not So Good Removal/Installation Procedure on Driver's Side Sliding Door
Took out one star due the following :
-Difficulty in removal (driver's side sliding door). To avoid stripping screws and bending things out of shape, it's best to methodically remove everything to reach the two tiny screws that face the door skin. At best, you'll need to at least remove all the mechanical latch controls and some of the links. With this method you'll be forced to pull the latch back to wedge a small screwdriver with a Torx T10 tip at an awkward angle; if you find something smaller that works, use it.
-T10 Torx bolts. Not included with the part. There's no thread on the part, so you will need ém to tap their holes. Do this before installing new unit. I used a small screwdriver
-The original unit was still working 20 years in. It's the bushing on the arm that will fall apart, but won't impede function; just a little loose. It's the part's only drawback.
