Essentially a consumable product
I treat anything plastic as a consumable. The weak spots are the rear areas that cover coolant openings. This is where you will get leaks that will kill the number 4 coil. When I need to change my plugs and coils I also plan to change my manifold. Also double check all screw holes for proper depth. In my recent install I missed one that holds the fuel rail. Good value for the price
I installed this on my 03 King ranch with a 5.4 that I use for pulling my travel trailer. The intake is easy to install and fits great. The bad part is that now my truck does not have the same torque for pulling hills. Overall a good intake for everyday driving in town. Up and running!!
Same intake I could have ordered from local parts store but I saved about $100. Self tapping screws scared me at first but they worked well. Everything plastic on cars seems to be self tapping anyway. I haven't removed anything and had to re tighten, so hopefully they'll be OK. All the replacement intakes I found had self tapping screws anyway. Trucks running great and the coolant leak is fixed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
