"Children Just Like Me" is a beautifully illustrated hardcover book published by Dorling Kindersley Publishing in 1995. Written by Barnabas Kindersley, Anabel Kindersley, Susan E. Copsey, and the Dorling Kindersley Publishing Staff, this book celebrates children around the world by showcasing a variety of cultures and families. With colorful illustrations and engaging content, it is a perfect choice for young readers interested in diverse perspectives and family relationships. The book's format, language, and content make it a valuable addition to any children's book collection, offering a glimpse into the lives of children from different backgrounds.
I had this book as a young kid, but my parents gave it away at some point. When I got it off of eBay, I was reminded how much I liked it, because it had great pictures and we could see the stories of kids all over the world (who are probably in their 30s now).
I read and would go over this book with my son starting when he was 4. It's a beautifully written and photographed book on all kinds of children and their different ways of life throughout the world. Every child should have a copy. They learn empathy, geography, similarities and differences. I got these copies for my new grandson so he has a copy just like his dad and for my best friend who just had her first child.
