The WS-C2960S-24PS-L switch is part of the Cisco Catalyst 2960S series of fixed-configuration Gigabit Ethernet switches with 24 ports. The 2960-S series switches are capable of increasing networking efficiency while lowering ownership costs for midsize business operations and campuses in need of access applications across their LAN Base network. The WS-C2960S-24PS-L 24-port switch and others in its series are configured into your system with space-efficient Flexstack. Cisco Flexstack modules allow stacking up to four switches. Add any Cisco Catalyst 2960-S switches with LAN Base software, including WS-C2960S-24PS-L, WS-C2960S-24PD-L, and others from the 2960-S series as well as switches from the 2960-SF series. Cisco Flexstack modules and Cisco IOS Software allow you to combine all switches in a stack to act as a single switch unit with one IP address, translating to lower costs and simplified management for you. Flexstack configuration also gives you a combination of Gigabit Ethernet and Fast Ethernet ports in one switch. The series offers 1G Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) or 1G/10G SFP+ slots. The WS-C2960S-24PD-L switch delivers 370W of PoE power and has two SFP+ interfaces, and the WS-C2960S-24PS-L also gives 370W of PoE and has four SFP interfaces. Also in the series with 24 ports is the WS-C2960S-24TD-L switch with 2 SFP+, WS-C2960S-24TS-L with 4 SFP, and WS-C2960S-24TS-S with 2 SFP. Both IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) and IEEE 802.3at PoE+ modules are supported by the Catalyst 2960-S series. For further reduction of costs, IEEE PoE does not require power supplies from a wall outlet for any PoE-enabled devices incorporated into your system. The 2960-S series also incorporates STP through its IEEE 802.1D Spanning Tree Protocol to build a logical loop-free network. The Cisco Catalyst WS-C2960S-24PS-L switch has 24 Ethernet 10/100/1000 ports for efficient networking. All of the Catalyst 2960-S series 24-port switches are LAN Base except the WS-C2960S-24TS-S, which is LAN Lite. The series also offers USB interfaces to manage the network and transfer files. Another key feature of the 2960-S series is Cisco Catalyst SmartOperations. This software program further increases the efficiency of the network administrator by automating Cisco IOS Software image installation and configuration when new switches are added to the network as well as automatically configuring switch ports with devices are connected to the system. Cisco Catalyst SmartOperations also simplifies LAN planning, troubleshooting, and monitoring. With the Cisco Catalyst WS-C2960S-24PS-L switch, up to 250 LAN users have access to the network in your midsize business or school environment. This type of switch configuration offers efficient stacking of multiple switches and draws power from one power supply source. Security features also enforce basic policies that limit access to those who have permission to use the network, which inherently cuts down on threats to your system. The 2960-S series of switches gives wired connectively that is cost-effective as well as time and effort efficient across traditional desktop workspace situations.

Arrived in good shape, all ports functioning as intended. Probably the best value for 250+ watts of PoE with VLAN capabilities. Can be used as a “dumb switch” by running through the initial configuration wizard and leaving it. No advanced knowledge required.
