Might work on your gun, does not work on mine..
This mount let go when I fired the shotgun barrel on my Savage 24S-D. It worked OK with .22LR, but when I fired 2 slugs the reflex site with the mount still attached came off completely. My reflex sight is pictured below. It was attached securely before I fired it. I have decided to skip using a scope, red dot, or reflex on this gun. I am pretty sure that when you cinch down on the rail, you are un-cinching the mount from the barrel since this is one piece.

Bad fit on Savage 24C
It’s well made out of Aluminum but unfortunately it does not clamp down very well on the 3/8 dovetail on my Savage 24C. Tried everything from gently tapping to tweaking for a better fit… the two little set screws which are supposed to do the final clamping to the dovetail are not strong enough and also sit too high on the mount to be effective. Didn’t work on my Savage dovetail. Might work better on a other dovetail since there are differences in tolerance. Ended up not using them and bought a different more solid looking one piece mount. Allows Weaver scope mounts
Adapters slip on from front, tap lightly to seat before sliding them back. Wanted to be able to use quick detach Burris mounts. Also wanted to keep the Marble rear sight. Works with 28mm Weaver scope with either low or medium height mounts to clear the sight. Marlin 60 now completed, with DIP replacement trigger set.

Excellent product that meets a unique need.
I have wasted a lot of time and effort trying to find a product that would allow me to adapt a Weaver type base to a 3/8" grooved receiver. All failed to tighten on to the grooved receiver of the Savage 24 .22 or .22 Mag over 20 or .410 gauge until I bought this. After I got it and tried it on one of my Savage 24's, I quicky ordered another set. In both cases, the shipemnts were quick and the products worked perfectly.

Save your money for updated open sights.
Not terribly impressed, the screw heads round off pretty easy and the Allen wrench sent with product appears to be to small. Mount is also sloppy on the rail which they address in the instructions. Probably will hold up to the 22wmr recoil fine but I seriously doubt it will hold up to the 20ga recoil.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
