Bought for name brand, Timkin i have heard about for years and quality bearing, perfect fit for my 2012 outback, took a bit to get delivered to CT. I was only going to order one, but glad i bought the pair as the right side was grinding and after replacing it and a test drive discovered the left side was also starting to hum. Great price and good fit.
I've installed Timken bearings as an automotive technician for over 25yrs and I know they manufacture a good product. The price was very competitive @ 30-40% cheaper than any other quality brand I priced. I've heard to many horror stories associated with using cheap bearings made in China by people trying to save money. The bearing I received was made in Korea much to my surprise. I was expecting a bearing made in the USA or Europe but I do realize Timken is very much a global company. It did fit well and was correct for my application.
