I've used this product for the last three years now and now that I know how to use it, it does the job. It's not quite as friendly as TurboTax (you have to pay a little more attention as to what gets transferred automatically from the federal to the state return and how to handle what doesn't) but once you learn, it's easy. It's cheaper than TurboTax and so far they haven't tried to pull a fast one (like TurboTax tried to do a few years ago, deleting investment handling from the deluxe product from one year to the next). The 2016 H&R Block product installed quickly and easily on my Windows 10 system and my old Windows Vista system, allowed me to incorporate stuff from last year's return, and as the income forms come in, it's easy to open a partially completed return, enter the info, save the work in progress and wait impatiently for more data.Read full review

Sorry.... Turbo Tax is more intuitive than H&R. Also, it interprets the tax code a little differently... it gave me more of a federal refund but less of a state than Turbo with the same data. It didn't ask enough questions for the deduction part of the program. (In my opinion). I'm sure others will think its fine.... I'm not impressed.

This has been a great help to our family for years now. We can import all the data form last years return, saves time and is easy to do. We have compared this product to others, and w are happy with the results. You get 5 federal returns and E - files, and can do the state and mail - or file with the state directly.

Easy to use, but it's still for doing taxes, so it's time consuming and cumbersome. Never used any other program so can't compare. This is straightforward and I don't think any other program could be easier. Getting help/support is very easy and you usually get quick accurate (I think!) & thorough replies. I will continue to use it unless I decide to let someone else do it for me!

I have used HR Block Deluxe software for many years. It offers an interview mode, or you may enter your info into worksheets/tax forms. My wife is self employed and has a home office. Block handles it all very well. It does everything I want and need.
