I installed on a Lazy-Boy office chair I bought new sometime around '93 I think. I removed the cylinder from the sleeve and just used the old sleeve. It went on really easy. The hard part was removing the old cylinder from the seat. Fortunately I had a large pipe wrench to man handle off the old cylinder. Maybe some liquid wrench would have helped.

I purchased this for an office chair at work. My boss and I are both big men and working security, someone is constantly getting in and out of the chair. I wanted something to hold not only the weight but the constant change. This product works great. So far no problems, I just hope it holds up as well as expected. The last one I purchased for my own office chair was over $50.,00. this one seems t do the same job for a lot less cost and has a better guarantee.

It is a shame to buy a nice business chair and to have the pneumatic tube go bad after 6 months. What do you do? You could buy another chair for another $ 100 or buy this tube for much cheaper. It is made of steel and will support plenty of weight. A great deal !!

Much better than OEM with chair. I would recommend this for a taller person, it's longer than stock by 2" which let's you sit more comfortable, but it still can be lowered to fit any height.
