If you are a Ziply Fiber (Frontier FIOS) customer and want to run your own router and/or Mesh Network, then this is the adapter you need to keep the guide channel updated. Without it, you lose all cable box functions like guide channel and on demand. I think it updates the DVR also, but the item you will miss is the guide channel. Excellent OEM type product at half the price of any other name brand Moca adapter. I bought 3 total so my friends can also save the $10 a month Router "rental" fee, that is $120 a year you don't owe Ziply or even Verizon FIOS as Frontier bought 4 states fiber network from Verizon. The routers are the same, Verizon FIOS, Frontier FIOS, and Ziply FIOS.

Works just as advertised. Set up in my garage and saved me a lot of work installing a new ethernet cable in the wall though the crawl space and just had to use the old coax that was used previously for Spectrum internet. Used the old coax cables to connect to garage. Had a little getting it to run because the instructions are very small and not very helpful or detailed. Setting up MoCA on my router was simple and after restarting the adapter device with each setting got it to work and now my camera has a connection that is at least four times faster and responsive.

Seems well-built, quality product, great for the price. I'm new to MoCA, so better info on product settings and specs would have helped. My only issue was my own cabling problem, but tightening a coax barrel connector fixed that. Use with ROKU in a room where Powerline was slow.

I tried ethernet over powerline, wifi extenders etc. My house has a coax jack in every room so these adapters allowed hard wired network in the whole house. Download speed reach up to 200Mbs, so you can game and watch movies no problem. Definitely recommended if you have coax jacks in your home already.

Used it cause I have no ethernet cable in my walls and I switched to Telus. Using this, I got 900mbps up and down on my existing coaxial lines, and able to have the modem/router hub and a wifi extender in opposite corners of the house, and provide an wire connection between them both. Good product, bit pricy but worth it as a long term investment. Same product that Telus uses for some people's older homes.
