Rikon 10-306 Bandsaw is a greatly improved model
This is Rikon's improved bandsaw. The motor has increased from 1/3 hp to 1/2 hp, a improved fence, and a lever to reduce the blade tension when you will not be using it for some time. Was it worth it? Yes! I cut 5 inch hard maple like breeze and the motor didn't labor a bit! The blade adjustments are all up front and there is even a sight window to see the blade tracking on the wheel! The blades can be swapped easily, the fence is removed with three thumb screws in 10 seconds and the blade is off in 20- seconds. My shop space is limited and this bandsaw fits on a tabletop. All the allen wrenches, and metric box wrench are included and fit in a handy bracket on the saw and the fence can store on the side of the saw as well. The top of the saw has a miter groove for a standard miter gauge. Rikon is company that stands behind their product and should you needs them, part are available. This will more than fulfill my bandsaw needs.
