Tortoiseshell Alternative from D’Addario and Chris Thile (Nickel Creek, Punch Brothers) D’Addario’s Casein guitar and instrument picks supply a warmth, attack, and output that was previously only available in true tortoiseshell picks. But unlike tortoiseshell, casein is a humane material derived from dairy protein that can be shaped into endless styles and thicknesses. The D’Addario 2CA7-01CT Chris Thile Signature mandolin pick is built to Chris’s own specifications. The wide triangular shape supplies good control in the hand, with all three edges and tips sporting a comfortable bevel that allows you to glide easily from string to string. At 1.4mm thick, the 2CA7-01CT is a good for rhythms, leads, and solos.
Great tone but unplayable after 3 days due to curving
Casien lets me down once again... casien has a very decent tone, lifespan and playability. What akwats happens though is it curves and twist. This pick curved/bent uo as do every casien pock ive ever iwned does. My advice is spend 20 more bucks and get a bluechip. Theyre great. Done trying others sticking with bluechip
