Almost too good to be true
I play a lot of classic rock and for the clean sounds of a humbucker, these can't be beat for tonal variety. We throw in a little Rockabilly (Stray Cats) and other songs that need that "Gretchy" vibe, like early Beatles and stuff. These get it done. I installed these with those switchable pickup rings to tap coils and go series/parallel and got even more sounds. It really nails the Lynyrd Skynyrd sound with the bridge pup tapped! I can also select which coil I want in SC mode and can hear the difference. Each coil has a distinct tone based on it's distance from the bridge, kind of like you would expect from a Strat. With the switch in series these pups can hold their own with my other guitars which all have high output pickups. I put these in an SG but I think they would sound even better in a 335 type or even a full hollow body. Amazing pups. Seymour did their homework on these!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
