Honda EU2000i replacement carb
Solves your carb problems... simple to replace. Cheaper than taking to a dealer to clean the carb! Generator runs like new... no air/fuel mixture setting adjustment needed... I replaced it, started with a couple pulls on the starter cord, ran beautifully (with drained and replaced non-ethanol fuel) and is ready for use! I used You Tube videos as a guide to remove the carb and replace it... very simple! Note the routing of the fuel lines before you disassemble. Took 30 minutes to replace. Dealer wanted $179 to clean the carb... Sidenote: replace your air filter and clean the screen in the spark arrester in the exhaust. Replace your oil (and use the drain tool to ease draining the oil. Change the spark plug often. Don't store ethanol based fuel for any long period of time 30 days. Use non-ethanol fuel if you can find it--more expensive but longer life before going bad! Bought the generator at a great discount used as it ran terrible... this carb fixed it and saved hundreds vs. a new generator. Absolutely OEM carb... and not exaggerating ease of replacement! Easy to replace.
The carburetor I ordered is an OEM replacement. Upon installing it, I could not get fuel from the tank to the carburetor. I have had this issue before, sometimes the needle valve in the float chamber will stick un the "up" position. To solve this I just remove the fuel cap and blow hard into the tank, pressurizing it, and freeing the stuck needle valve. The carb fit, but the connector on the idle control was different and had smaller wires. I swapped out the old connector to put on the new carb and it worked. A lot of these will be selling with the higher percentage ethanol (thanks again obama). The jet inside the carburetor or the fuel filter clogs if you leave the motor sit over winter with ethanol /gas mix.
