Replacing just the glass was far easier and less expensive than I thought. Use gloves. Old cracked glass is sharp!
The driver mirror on my 2004 Q45 was cracked. I saved a bundle replacing just the glass rather than what I've previously done - unbolt and replace the whole mirror assembly! Once I removed the old mirror, however, (not easy, but with gloves and pliers, it was safer and quicker, this item was a perfect shape and fit. The stickem pads are large and hold very strongly. Much, much easier! Excellent value.

Got this to replace side view mirror that had turned brown. Used the double sided tape to attach to old mirror. Perfect, now I can see again. Thank you
