This item is brand new and fit my 2004 Jeep Cherokee Laredo with only minor modification.
Only few modifications were necessary to install this motor correctly. Both mounting bolts bushings did not have the metal backing plate for the bolts to screw into so all you have to do is to transfer the old bushings from the old motor and use the old longer bolts for mounting of this motor to the inside panel. Also, the main rubber bushing that is mounted on the main shaft is round and did not match the old one that was bent to fit the curvy design of the shaft hole in the door. All you have to do is to pull the old one out and place onto the new motor shaft, that easy. Make sure you'll get new door panel clips as you'll brake them guaranteed. This was a replacement for a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.0 liter, rear wiper. My original was having problems and knew it was burning out. It works perfectly and if it fits your vehicle I recommend it. TIP: You might want to look up what trim fasteners fit in your hatch before disassembling it and maybe have some tools to pop it apart first.
