Great looks and styling. Amazing sound pickup and quality. The sound quality is beautiful even though it lacks the reverb effects of the hollow acoustic violin. That is easily fixed by the gain and tone controls on the amp. Some of my friends have tried it and they love the sound. Now they want one. The cord is light and the right angle plug lets the the cord hang out of the way. (I have heard other people complain about the heavy cords being in the way on their electric violins. Not a problem here.) The head phones sound fine and let me practice at night without disturbing anyone. I love that the phones plug straight into the violin so I can play for myself without even needing the amp. Easy and comfortable to play. However, the hard wood body is a little heavier than the acoustic violin which takes a little getting used to. But that's a minor inconvenience considering the pleasure and versatility it adds. The volume control is a great feature. The tone knob does only nothing, I wish you could do something about that. however, you can control tone and other sound qualities throught the amp/speaker anyway. Add some pedals and the sky's gonna be the limit. The semi-hard case is beautiful and functional. As is the bow. Overall, this seems to be the best buy for the money I have ever had in a musical instrument. I'm looking forward to a lot of fun with this.Read full review

By all measures its ok and good product, also came in time, but it has a sound tone issue , its maybe comes from sound device or need to change strings, I like it at all but this noisy sound bothering me.

This was well worth the price, it comes with everything you need to get started.. except how to tune the darn thing... It took several on line searches and a piano, but I did it without breaking the strings! I love this violin, and if I can't learn how to play it, it still is a beautiful piece of art, and I've spent more than $100 on the piece of art!! So whether it is played or hanging on the wall it's pretty amazing piece of work!

This was an excellent deal for the money! We replaced the strings with some Prelude's and are very pleased with the violins sound and play-ability. There are some small runs in the finish, but nothing that is a big deal. You will need to purchase a shoulder rest as it does not come with one. If you are looking for a quiet practice instrument or just want the electric sound, this is a very good value.

A a beginner I was very surprised with the quality for the price. If you are a professional this is not for you unless you just want to have a backup.
