Buy Capresso with glass carafe
This is just ok. I have owned both types now and the one with the glass carafe is so much better. You can rewarm your coffee with the glass carafe, even with the timer.The coffee does not stay warm for very long in this carafe. I would not buy this type again, but stick to the glass carafe. My second one of this make
My first one had a glass carafe which allowed you to see how much coffee is left in the pot. This one is metal, so that option is not available. The metal carafe is heavy and not the easiest to clean. Since this model does not have a two hour timer it relies on heating the container and you finishing before it really cools off. The maker seems to take longer to brew - great coffee - probably because of the heating of the carafe takes considerable time. This thing is well made and quite heavy. I am waiting for the press handle on the top to snap off since you have to use it to spin off the pouring mechanism. jura capresso coffee maker and grinder
Very disappointed with grinding function: Not fine enough. Makes coffee taste worst than regular $40 coffee maker with plastic grinder. I believe water hoes too quickly through filter so coffee does not have time to brew enough. Very weak coffee regardless of grinding setting. Not working properly.
The machine brews very light coffee and I cannot adjust it any further. It is set for the darkest and finest grind, but brews a very light and tasteless cup.
