I have the exact same nano, color and all, but it is only 8GB. I needed more storage. This was perfect for me since it was the same, with a bad screen but with 16GB which is plenty for what I need. I use it in my car, so the screen nor battery life is not relevant, since it is plugged directly into my usb port and the display is on my car stereo. However, I had a scare the other day when my car radio could not find the media on this ipod. It had something to do with the settings, which I played with and was able to get it to work again. It works better than most that I have purchased. It was doing some weird things with my tunes when I first synced it, but I think that might have been an issue with my iTunes account. I have since corrected it. I still think this particular model is strange in that you can hear the music faintly from the unit itself, but that could be some function that I don't understand because I don't it.
