ASUS Xonar DS 7.1 PCI Sound Card
This is a gem of a sound card for 5.1 and 7.1 sound aficionados. I wanted great sound but ran into main board slot and space issues after the installation of a high-end PCI-e video graphics card. An X1 or X16 PCI-e sound card was not an option but this standard PCI card fit the bill. A high price for a high-end result that was worth every penny. I have a 5.1 Logitech speaker system that I did not want to part with and this card proved the best results all too well. I am not a gamer but I do stream videos, TV shows and movies on occasion as well as listen to I-net radio and some pre-recorded music media.
