worth your time to learn
OEM product at a reasonable price. Its tricky to install even with various iterations of UTUBE tutorials. But, in the end yours is pushing 25 years old and although mine was not as filled with compost as I expected it was definitely in need of changing. The directions included in the box (nice of them to do that) is rather generic and didn't help me much with my convertible. If you are going to keep your E36 on the road you need to gain the confidence to do these jobs yourself.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent E36 Filter
I have installed 2 of these and they are the same quality as OEM BMW parts. It is possible to change them by just removing the lower dash cardboard panel on the passenger side, then removing the door for the filter. You have to snap the plastic where it will fold in three sections then slowly feed it up in to the opening.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
