I had one for a few years, and got many, multiple overdrives. I got rid of the OCD, and regretted it almost immediately. This needs to be on my board or near me at all times. This, the tubescreamer, and the palisades, are the pedals that should never go away. The pedal is amazing, versatile, and stacks well with anything. And I mean anything. The low gain setting goes from boost, to mild overdrive, to great grit. But it does so with warmth, clarity, and tone. The high gain hits AC/DC, Mastodon, and that beloved British crunch. Not full on metal, but good hard rock. Stack it with a distortion and it cleans up the sound, and pushes it perfectly. Get one and don't let it go

I just got a new Fulltone OCD V4 today. Plugged it into my pedal rig, and HOLY CRAP IS IT AMAZING! The pedal has completely usable tones throughout its volume, gain and tone settings. I've just finished playing around with it for the past two hours, using my Les Paul and my Tele. Both guitars sound fricking amazing through this pedal and my '74 Fender Champ, which now sounds way bigger, richer, thicker, more harmonic, and about 100 more adjectives, depending on the pedal's settings, how it interacts with each guitar, and even more complex as I layer in my other pedals. I found so many interesting and usable tones -- I'm dying to go back and play with these a lot more. And I haven't even tried this pedal through my Egnater Rebel 30, which I'm guessing will be a whole new set of interesting tones running through its 6V6 and/or EL84 tube-driven clean and overdriven channels. So happy I picked this pedal up!Read full review
Totally Awesome In Short . Makes Both Clean & Dirty settings amazingly better than without it . I use the Vox amps distortion on low so I get a Cleaner , Clearer , Crunch . Then I add The OCD to it to make the buttery smooth boost That Drives the distortion up , But keeps it clear & not muffled like many pedals do . The OCD adds tons of headroom when playing clean , makes your rig sound professional & expensive . Keep the guitar volume down & the amp up & You will find many different sounds with the volume alone . Use the 18v VDC power adapter for even more Headroom & boost . A 12v power adapter will also work too .
Just good enough for any rock/blues tone you ever gonna want; will forever be on my board.

Bought this pedal based on reviews and demo videos on youtube. I have to admit that after my first try with it, I though the OCD was as good or better than the reviews I saw and heard. This pedal will go from a light grit up to a pretty darn heavy grind - and it cleans up well with the guitar's volume knob regardless of how hard you push the distortion. For now, I'm loving it!
