ISP Decimator G String Noise Gates Guitar Effect Pedal

About this product

Product Information

If you're looking for an effective way to eliminate unwanted noise, you can use the ISP Decimator G String Guitar Effect Pedal. This ISP Technologies pedal has an attractive light gray hue with black labeling across the top section. The pedal is made out of specialized rubber with a metal frame for reliable stability and strength with every step. The output port is easily located on the left hand side of these functional effects pedals. It can support a standard, phono jack connector to either your instrument or your amplifier. There are three connections available on the right hand side. These include the guitar in/out and the Decimator in connections. You can readily create the sound that you want without reducing the quality of your tone. This can be achieved by plugging in your instruments and powering the noise reduction guitar pedal through your setup. This ISP Decimator gives you full control over the noise threshold with the simple knob on the topside. You have a choice to turn the G String Noise Gate guitar pedal's knob to +10 or -70 decibels. This threshold selection gives you a choice of sounds, offering protection from any feedback that might sneak into the setup. Versatility means that it's possible to insert this ISP tool into just about any pedal chain. The G String accessories are designed to work optimally when they're added to the end of your effect loop. You have the choice of putting these 5 inch long pedals at the end of your effects bank. This can help to support other gear that you may have with vector processing or reverb options. You can obtain precise results in any setting with a total harmonic distortion of only 0.05%. This can provide clear signal moving from your amp, instrument, and G-string for that impromptu gig or a relaxing practice session. You can even use this G String noise reduction gear as a preamp option. Low power consumption of 35mA at 9V DC means that you won't lose any power while gaining additional noise control. You can always benefit from a dynamic range of about 100 decibels when the G String is powered on regardless of positional placement. You can enjoy the ease of use with an input impedance of only 0.5 MOhms. There's no need to switch off the product when you shift from high to clean gain options. The electronics are transparent to easily add your guitars and other accessories to the product that draws 35mA of current. Pick a channel that works with the nominal incoming value of 12 dBu for enhanced use with your bass guitar. The ISP Decimator G String II can give you the sound that you want at the level you desire every time. This pedal allows you to set the guitar's unaltered input level in advance. This feature can leave you free to focus on your music rather than the hardware. With a 2 inch depth, you can easily move your foot between this component and others on your effects bank. You can send power through the attached cabling with several amps for a marked difference in sound control during any gig.

  • works great, but not perfect

best noise pedal available and i recommend you just save up and get the ISP rather than getting any other pedal. my only complaint about the G-String is it ONLY works if you use it both in front of your amp AND the effects loop -- it cannot be used on an amp without an effects loop. i didn't realize this when i bought it, so i still have to keep my other ISP decimator (non-G-String) for use with some of my amps. i was hoping to sell that one. the perfect solution would be 2 ISP Decimator II G-String pedals -- one in front of the amp and one in the loop. but this pedal is very, very good at what it does. does not color your tone at all and the single-dial control couldn't be simpler or more effective.

  • ISP Decimator II G String Does The Job!

I've had noise problems from the distortion and compressor pedals on my board for years. My Marshall JMP amp (1979) doesn't have an effects loop, but with a little research, I found that the ISP Decimator II G String sounded like the ideal solution to eliminate noise through the board - it turned out to be fantastic! The pedal allows you to first supply the guitar's unaltered input level, which it uses in calculating the noise threshold. I then routed it just to the pedals that were causing the problem. That signal then comes back through the Decimator and is routed out through the rest of the board and out to the amp. I adjusted the Threshold control on the Decimator (-40 in my case) and - bango! - noise gone. The beauty of this set-up is that only the pedals that were the problem are treated by the Decimator, with the rest effectively downstream and bypassed. And, the noise was eliminated without affecting the level or output quality of the distortion and compressor pedals. I highly recommend this product.

  • Decimator ll

This is by far the best Noise Reduction pedal I have ever used! It is nice that you can dial it in to your liking or have it off during quiet parts of the music when it's not needed.

  • Great Pedal

My band plays heavy Djent and progressive metal. We use high gain amps such as the 5150 and the 6505. both high gain amplifiers, which means one thing, they produce a lot of feedback on the high gain channel. Hook this baby up its silent when you mute the strings. Best noise gate pedal on the market that I know of

  • Best pedal noise suppressor yet.

Truly a great pedal. With a tube amp and JHS Double Barrel noise was pretty bad. Now, no noise, no noticeable tone loss, or signal cutoff, I am most impressed. Perfect Circuit shipped a demo unit excellent condition with free priority shipping for $170!

  • Best noise gate around

This noise gate works better than I could ever imagine. Clean, distorted, with effects, and with reverb it never feeds back. I'm using it with a 6505 and ibanez rg852.
