Great amp for rock and blues
Its got a great sound and the old ones come with a great speaker. Tried others and due to the mid range sound of this amp come back to the original speak. Responds well to different guitars but some over power the input and a lower gain tube is a good idea in the V1 spot if you have a high output gtar. Tone controls could do a better job, mid is really upper mid/highs and high is more like a presence control. I will be modding the tone stack soon. Gain channel is pretty nice, overall this is more tube sound that a hotrod deluxe and smaller cab. PIA to work on but so is the HRDVerified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

My favorite amp
I have been a gigging guitarist for over 50 years and owned a lot of amps, but I keep going back to my good old Peavey Classic 30. It has great tone, enough power for almost any venue and is not too heavy. i prefer the old style cabinet, but the new Peaveys are great too. Tone too bright.
Doesn't have a warm tube amp tone. The tone is too bright. While some iNet owner reviews have described it as ice-picky sounding I wouldn't go that far. But too bright and sharp for me. The tone controls have little affect on the brightness.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
