Really good CPU for the money if you want a media pc built with a spare AM3 socket motherboard lying around Works on AM3+ socket motherboards also. No issues encountered to this moment. Has the expected performance given the price and work it's needed for. Reliable but not recommended for games.
When I ordered a AMD Athlon II-X4 620 I was building a Computer to hook up to a 55cm TV as a multimedia player. I made it using parts that were lying around and secondhand stuff from eBay. Currently it plays on demand TV shows, Videos in my small collection and Netflix whilst running under the Linux OS. All seem to run well enough. With the exception of some jerkiness occasionally on Web based TV. To be truthful this could be caused by the low end built in graphics on the mother board or bandwidth problems. I have done long burn in tests and can say the CPU is performing well enough. If you want a cheap computer for an Multimedia application this CPU is reasonable but not the flashest thing around. Old but reliable
this is an older processor, but it really revved up the (old) computer I put it in. The computer was struggling while playing the new x265 videos, but once I replaced the dual core with this quad core, they run very smoothly. Great for such a low price!
I got mines used. It was clean, none of the pins were bent. I replaced my old cpu (X2 250) in my old HP Pavilion motherboard and ran with no problems.
