Powerful extractor. Replaced my old Hoover W/this model. I like it.
I bought this to replace my old Hoover. Wow! What a difference this machine made of my old carpets. It really pulled up the dirt and fine sand. The only complaint I would have is the cord is a bit short and you do have to empty and refill the tanks often. But once you get a rhythm going it's not so bad. I like that they eliminated the black mesh filter on the extract tank that the old model had. Now, tank clean up is easy. Also as a tip-make sure you run the machine with a little clean water thru the tank to clean up the fine dirt that gets stuck in the machine head once you are finished shampooing. You don't want it to dry and solidify in the extract funnels. Bought for under 200.00 and Yes, it was worth it. Looking to replace my old flooring but I can hold off for a while now. All in all I can say I am pretty satisfied with this purchase.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It's ok but my old one was better.

My Second.....Used my First over 40 times
I had my first Max Extract Dual V for years. I don't know if the exact model numbers are the same, but they are near identical. I have had zero problems with my first one other then some of the rubber seal/gaskets cracked or split. Probably my fault for storing it in my outdoor shed. I live in Nevada, so the summers get in the 110's plus and it's dry. The last time I used my first one (about a month ago), I had to place packing tape across the hose connect on the top/front of the extractor portion. Worked great...then noticed the rubber seal/gasket on the dirty water lid had separated with a 1/2 inch gap, so I decided to purchase another one. Most if not all of the parts are interchangeable, so I will keep my old one for parts. Would I buy a second one?..........I didVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent product!
This product is the only one that I know that keeps the detergent and water separate and allows the carpet to be rinsed! So easy to use, wash up, let dry and put away. I did have to have it servied but it was under warranty. The service center tested it out and didn’t let it dry out good and the inside was moldy, but was easy to clean because everything comes apart. I have multiple cats and my carpets look great after cleaning them. The machine is not so bulky that I can’t just scrub one room, put away and do more later! This is the second one of these I have bought. This new one is wider and has 6 brushes the other had 5. It also has to speeds for them. Last one lasted well over 10 years and got heavy use because of grandkids and dogs. Very easy to use and does a great job. 3rd Times a Charm
I just purchased my 3rd Hoover carpet washer in 35 years of home ownership. This new one is the same as the last one which lasted more than 12 years. The first one was a little different but basically the same and it lasted more than 12 years. I rented prior to that. This is a highly rated unit by a national consumer organization and it lives up to it's rating. I use mine at least monthly on the high traffic areas, more often when there are spills and accidents. I do the entire house (living room, dining room and 5 bedrooms quarterly) I have 4 cats, 5 dogs 3 children and 8 grandchildren 3 of whom live with me. This does a great job, the amount of mud and hair it picks up always amazes me. Soda spills, urine, all kinds of stains all come up easily (some more easily than others). I replace the brushes and nozzle about 3-4 years. There is a tool available to help clean mud and hair from the nozzle. The brush and nozzle come off easily for cleaning and the brush assembly is easily disassembled/reassembled to help get hair out. I did have to replace the water tank on the last one when it cracked but the tank is redesigned and sturdier than the first one. This carpet cleaner did a great job cleaning high traffic areas that hadn't been cleaned in a while. General cleaning made the carpet look good as new.
