Some of the vinyl records pressed in the late 1980’s were just inferior quality to the ones prior to to introduction of Compact Disc. I sometimes wonder if this was a big marketing scheme to move people away from records. This is no exception. An analog recording that should explode off of the record falls flat and even distorted at times. The Compact Disc is far superior for this release. A remaster 180g version of this on vinyl is desperately needed, but I seriously doubt we’ll see it any time soon. If you’re considering it for sound, go with the Compact Disc. If you’re a serious collector, look for it cheap, because after the first listen, you’ll never pull it out again except to look at the cover. It is NOT at all audiophile quality...
