    Great older machine.

Got the machine in great shape, none of the usual cracks around the palm rest or ports. It was used but very lightly. Only issue i ran into was a slight pause in the OS from time to time causing the beach ball to spin. turns out there may have been an issue with the hard drive but i had that on order anyway. I've installed a 128GB SSD and 4GB of RAM and the machine is now running El Capitan. Machine is great for browsing and movies as well as office/school use. These aren't bad machines in their shipped state but plan on installing at least 4G of RAM and I'd recommend a cheap SSD as 10.11.6 El Capitan runs dog slow on spinning disks.

It might be a good choice, but...

It might be a good choice for Mac starters or people who're finding used mac product. I'm satisfied with this product, However, I'm really disappointed with its performance. Of course, This product was made in 2009. It's okay to use this product if you're always using internet or office program, not playing games. This could be a good choice. But, There is a problem with its cooler and CPU. Sometimes, It suddenly turns off itself, I am not sure, but It must be a problem with the cooler or CPU. It looks like its cooler isn't working well. So I am using this with my external laptop cooler. But anyway, This product is okay even though there're some problems with its cooler and CPU. I recommend this product if you have already had your external laptop cooler before you purchase this. It's for this old product and its performance.

  • Great Buy

I've been looking for a reasonably priced computer for a while now. I came across this add and thought it was a great deal! I was a little concerned about shipping(took an extra day to ship) but they responded to me straight away and I received it two days later. The computer is really easy to set up, loads reasonably fast. It already came with updated software. Everything within the computer works great! This is a great buy! Haven't found a deal like this anywhere else!

  • AN AWESOMEMACHINE and A quick easy sale with a resonbiblen

Great deal, quick and nicely running Macbook, I dumped PC to try out the Mac AND I am now very happy. This 13 inch display works great, and at 24 inches smaller than my PC, the macbook STILL outshines the DELL by far. The new macbook came with a fresh install of OFFICE for Mac, has a fact 2.1 gigabytes processor on Earth, easy as hell to use, love the memory keyboard,

  • This computer is ready, willing and able

I am writing this review using the laptop I just bought. I was expecting a basic computer in passable condition to manage a couple of hobbies on the go. What I got was an excellent computer. I easily upgraded it to El Capitan (the most advanced OS this model can take). The case looks like new, the monitor looks clear and no discoloration. Even the trackpad and the CD drive work very well. I would rank this computer as in very fine condition. I would be honored to take this computer in to any number of settings in front of friends, etc.

  • Fantastic Low Performance Workhorse

I've owned and used exclusively this computer since I bought it new in 2009. I've upgraded the RAM to 4GB, and swapped the HD for a 1TB (original was.. 128GB? Dunno, it was too small around 2015). I use it a lot for writing, surfing the web, some python coding, photo editing on GIMP. It runs Steam games like Portal and Portal2 just fine, and will even run flight simulators like YS Flight. If you are looking for a computer with high graphics capability this computer is not for you (Any flight sim other than YS Flight, Skyrim, Solidworks), but if you don't need that then I highly recommend this computer. I've even taken it apart several times to repair it myself (lack of $ to take it some place), and I found it simple and easy to do (Replaced the screen, CD player, HD, RAM). The only reason I bought another is that after a lot of travel (and I do mean a lot) the case has cracked in several places and I'm afraid of parts becoming exposed. It's taken nearly a year of abuse to get that far, however, which impresses me.

  • Inexpensive, zippy MacBook

The item arrived quickly-- only 4 days after I ordered it, and 2 days before it was even expected! The laptop is in pretty good condition, although it does have a little bit of warping on the plastic near the screen, but that was just the one I got. The battery came with half of a charge, and definitely works. It came with Mac OS X 10.11.3 pre-installed, connected to my Wi-Fi and set up almost instantly! This is the 2009 model, which means it will run MacOS Sierra, when it releases. It came with 4 gigabytes of RAM, and a 2.13 GHz processor, so it will get most of your work done, and for only 149$ ((159 after shipping)) it's a great buy.

  • Perfect laptop one you put a little work into it

I already have a dependable desktop computer that I get most of my work and schoolwork done on, but I was looking for something that I could take with me to bed to do watch youtube videos and get a small amount of homework done. When I first got the laptop it was great, but after I installed an SSD it ran so smoothly that it blew me away. It can do everything I need it to without any problems whatsoever, and it even runs the latest OS X Capitan, however Mac OS Sierra will not be supported, but this is not much of an issue really (at least for me) because the performance makes up for that. I would say that this laptop runs just as well, if not better, than a windows laptop that I bought brand new for $1000.

  • Not as Outdated as You Might Think

Considering the age of the machine it's still quite capable. I actually repartitioned the drive and have it running El Capitan on most of the HDD and Snow Leopard on about 30GB (for backwards compatibility reasons, which was actually the reason I got a machine from this era), and really with a few open source pieces of software running on Snow Leopard it's to the point that I forget which one I'm running. That's not a small thing, since I've had other Macs that showed a marked performance difference between OS versions, sometimes better with a newer OS, sometimes better with an older one. And when it comes to a general comparison to other machines, it does well for most tasks even in comparison to my i7 system running 12GB RAM. The biggest place I see it falling short on a regular basis is with streaming HD video, but the screen is such that turning off HD hardly impacts picture quality anyway. In short, it's still a remarkably capable machine, and the newest versions of OS X are quite compatible with it.

  • Great value Macbook.

Received the macbook as advertised. There worst thing about this computer is it takes a little longer to boot up but once it does it performs quite well. Ram has been upgraded to 4gb which is a plus. It is very clean with minimal surface scratches and there are no cracks to the case. I purchased this for a student who is entering his freshman year in college. It will serve him well in his studies. I will recommend he get a solid state drive for it as it will make it really quick but it is quite useable now. This is a excellent valued macbook for basic computing. I am very pleased.
