Very thin and light, classy aluminum casing. I have concerns though that the casing is easy to dent (though mine does not have that mifsortune yet). Battery life is so-so. Gives me about 2-3H of use, but to fully charge it takes a long time. Screen display is great and the cam is clearer than most laptops I've had. The USB ports and other ports is a pain to access to at the side. Overall, a good, sturdy, & reliable laptop. Apple did great on this one.
I bought a used Apple MacBook Air about a week ago and was immediately impressed with the quality of the screen resolution and size of the screen. It looked much smaller 13.3" online, but is as big as my normal bulky laptops at work. It has the latest Mac operating system and runs fast. All features work including the web cam, video and has great battery life. It is very thin and light and exactly what I was looking for in a laptop. It is the perfect size for carrying without the heavy weight of other laptops weighing in at less than 5 pounds. My only complaint is that it is only 1.6GHz and 120GB so it is smaller in size and speed compared to the Apple MacPro; however it is just what I need right now. It is the best laptop I have ever owned. Overall, I highly recommend the Apple MacBook Air if you are looking at an affordable laptop from Apple.Read full review

I switched from a PC a short time ago. After the transition period, Mac made computing fun again. The Mac air is everything you want in a compact shell without sacrificing speed and performance. However, like most macs you need to treat it gingerly as the hinges are subjected to cracks and the casing can dent and scratch easily.
Disk drive failed, so I recycled the machine at the Apple Store
