About the BrandRochas is a fashion and perfume house established in 1925 by the talented French designer Marcel Rochas. For a decade the fashion was his main occupation and he designed the first skirts with pockets, as well as the two-third length coats. In 1936 he introduced his first three perfumes which won the hearts of many. At the end of World War II, in 1945, he founded the Marcel Rochas Fragrance Company which turned out to be a huge success and created emblematic perfumes praised all over the world.

My husband has a sensitive nose. Over 35 years ago he went through the fragrance department in one of our swankier stores. He was hunting for a smell HE liked AND did NOT have an actress or sports figure attached to it. BYZANCE was and is that fragrance. Now MY fragrance is apparently no longer being made.
