I like the smell. Only thing that's good. Back in the early 80's a couple sprays would last all day. Sadly no more. I don't care about compliments, this is for my aroma therapy. The scent makes 5 stars. The rest subtracts one star. I may be the only person remembering this here. Other forums found it needs reapplying at noon for office workers, or come in too strong. The issue seems to be the quick drying solvent. Okay. I gave you a review that was fair, yet subjective. Your milage may vary.

This newly formulated Devin, made on the UK is not quite what the vintage one offered. It opens pretty good with the oldest top notes but does not dry down well, leaving you with an eerie, petroleum type smell lingering in the bass. Won't be using this one as I did in the day.

I do not know, if the manufacturer has changed its formulation. The one that I purchased in 1986, is still better than the one that I purchased now. I bought it while I was in England. At time it was without the spray. I just make few few touches with my finger around the neck area, and it would last until next day. Since it was finishing up now, and I wanted to buy the replacement, so I went for it. But, this new one is not even close.

Fragrance is very personal and no matter what reviews you read, unless you love a fragrance and it works well with your skin chemistry, you may be disappointed. What I can tell you is that It is a great classic and unique fragrance that lasts. Because of it's uniqueness, it oozes its own level of magnetism. So it you think of yourself as a classic gentleman, with unique and classy taste, this is one you should at least try and then go from there.

Aramis Devin is a softer or lighter version of Caron Yatagan. Devin will not have the impact or power of Yatagan but for the price point you can't really beat it, unless you want to spend the extra monty and get Yatagan. Overall, a great value fragrance for those colder months of the year.

This one doesn’t seem to be as good as some of the other types of Aramis that I have used, it has a weaker smell and does not last as long I always used Arimis years ago and was very satisfied at that time but now to me this one is very disappointing. I regret purchasing this and would not recommend it to anyone that is looking for the fragrance of Arimis from years pasted KP

I gave Devin a few weeks before deciding on how I felt about it because I was on-the-fence with it. The opening has a funky animalic smell that stays around through the middle notes. I can pic up on pine, carnation, and cinnamon, but that funky smell lingers through the middle notes. Devin becomes a little better in the base notes, unfortunately not good enough for me to recommend it.

Been around a long time so that should tell you something. I like the woodsy smell it gives off and the compliments I get when wearing it .

I have loved the Devin by Aramis for 30+ years. Glad that it is still available. The peppery hints are really pleasant to the olfactory sensors.
