I was searching the market, used and new, for a simple amplifier for my Lincoln. Nothing massive, no glass shattering bass, just something that hits hard but not trunk-shattering-insane-can't-understand-the-darn-words type of thing. So I came across the Pioneer GM5400T. Its a simple and straight forward set up, I installed it in my car with a single 12inch Audio-pipe sub. The amp is rated at 380 watts RMS, bridged mono. Let me tell you it hits! It hits great, more than what I asked for and love it. It does get a little warm, mine did, and it was installed correctly. It never got hot, /ever/, and I have it cranked up quite often. Should your Pioneer amp, or any amp gets HOT to the touch, recheck your wiring. Also I set my amp's gain by using a voltmeter, the instructions on how to do so is all over the Internet, research it; you'll be happy you did. All in all I am pleased with my purchase. Will this set up win any bass contests? NO! Would I buy another? HECK YEA!Read full review
For the price honesty didnt think it would make such a difference from my old amp
