  • Awesome

Striking inside story of Elizabeth Patton Crocket and her famous husband. Alamo Hero David Crockett. More than learning how to make a Political Motivated quilt but in inside look at life during the late 1700s and 1860. Name of the quilt is "Postage Stamp Quilt on Point. All small pieces are 1 inch in diameter when sewn together. Origin of the Quilt was a 1847 bill that was passed putting the price of a postage stamp at Five cents. An Outrageous price at the time period as the only of communication with your family. The women of America protested by making things, like quilts with pieces of material the size of a postage stamp. As a result, the price of stamps was dropped to One Cent. The price stayed at 1 cent for many years.
