    I bought it for the VCR. The VCR function of this used Samsung works better and has a better quality picture than the new Funai that I bought a year ago. I bought it because the VCR side of the Funai quit working and I'm not willing to replace all my VCR tapes.

    Would not work

    The unit would not show any image while I tried to play a VHS tape. I cleaned it with a head cleaner tape and it still would read my VHS tape.

    This machine was a huge disappointment!

    This machine was defective (in used condition), the VCR portion did not work. The DVD portion had an average picture quality. I ended up throwing the entire unit into the trash, as the DVD player I already had displayed a much better picture.
