Great cap.
I had to do my first emissions test on this 2015 Kia Forte. I learned from a past problem where I sat an hour in line and got a fail on the gas cap (2002 Impala). I didn't even have a warning light on, though. Had to go to the nearest parts store and they charged me $20 after tax because they take advantage of people who are trying to pass emissions. Then I had to go get in line again. This cap fits great. I only wish it had the little clip/notch where the lanyard attaches so it hangs there when you get gas and you don't loose it. FUEL TANK-OE EQUIVALENT
Purchased this new fuel cap for my Hyundai Veracruz. The car is always garaged overnight. After installing the new cap according to the instructions, I experienced substantial gas fumes in the garage each morning. Replaced the new-cap with the ORIGINAL OLD-CAP and the fumes ceased. Good sealing gas cap solved check engine light problem
I'm glad I tried this gas cap. It's definitely better than the ones from the local auto parts store, and the price is right. You can tell right away when it goes on that the deal is better, and it solved my check engine light problem. I had bought another more expensive one that was supposed to fit my car, but did not. My check engine light came on because it said my gas cap was faulty. It was old for sure so I bought this one. It works great. Later found out my car was sending two different codes. One for the gas cap and one for the solenoid related to the fuel system. Had the latter repaired by a mechanic and so far no more check engine light. The gas cap is great though.
