No real improvement in the cars ride or handling.
I bought these as a replacement for the 30 plus year old Sears shock absorbers that were on the front of my 1973 Opel Manta. KYB is a world respected brand that are manufactured in Japan and the shocks are listed as a stock replacement for the Opel Manta. Expecting better all around performance from a gas charged shock, but not expecting a total performance shock absorber, I was still disappointed. Keep in mind that these are new shocks, not decades old ones that were on the car. After installation of the KYB's the ride was not any firmer, the shocks did not respond any better to road conditions and the front end still tended to nose dive at quick stops. There is no appreciable improvement with the KYB's over the standard hydraulic Sears shocks. I should have kept the old ones on, therefore I do not recommend these for this application.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
