Let's wait and see.
My original was replaced with a Dorman unit that did quiet the thumping. Eventually developed play in the steering, found the Dorman had internal wear. Went with the Borgeson this time. It looks well made, but I can't believe you need something that appears this overbuilt and expensive to work. I was hesitant to rate higher until it passes the test of time.
