1998 Jeep TJ. Replacing almost new Powerstop Z36 pads. (Just more brake pressure needed than I'd like) I have the EBC Yellowstuff pads with R1 Concepts rotors on 2 Trailblazer SS's, and wanted to install the Yellowstuff pads on my TJ with R1 Concepts drilled/slotted rotors, as this combination works GREAT on the SS's. But, be aware, the EBC pads are notably thicker. Installing the new EBC pads caused lockup in my calipers. The friction material was thick enough to not allow movement for the caliper. I measured difference of 3mm of each pad, so a total of 6mm more pad total. That's a lot. Will this be the case in your install? Don't know. But I had a machine shop take off 3mm from each pad. All good now, and I now have the same awesome brake feel and performance (with stainless lines) as our SS's. Only with a little Jeep TJ. Just needed the space to move. EBC is great stuff (can't fault the pads/manufacturer), but as is with many things, it's not always "bolt on".
