A good rear mount with some caveats
Has good durometer. Rubber feels just the right amount of soft & toughness. The 8699 mount I received has an updated profile design. The Toyota OEM insert has some rubber added between the bolt hole closest to the metal band. The old 8699 design has a ledge where it dips center in the V profile. This acts as a stopper for the rubber to rest against should the bolt hole move low enough. The new 8699 design does not have as pronounce of a dip in the V profile. Other than the two attachment column points at the ends of the V profile, the rubber free floats with not as noticeable center ledge. I'm not certain how much this affects the insert's reliability as much of the mount's stress will be under side-to-side compression load between the two end columns whenever the engine shifts weight. Also, this insert cannot be installed without wet sanding the paint off the metal band. It is possible to remove the old insert with a mini hacksaw. Without a hydraulic press, you can the new bushing with silicone lube, hammer/mallet, earplugs AND safety earmuffs (deafening loud), safety glasses, 27pc universal press and pull sleeve kit, a 2.5 to 4-in PVC reducer coupler (enlarged adapter for press sleeves), covered hard work surface, and time/patience/raw rage (brute force + precision). Check the picture with the insert installed in the housing. See the profile design change compared to old design, 8699 embossed part number, hammer marks around rim (mostly superficial), and the optimal positioning for insert. When the rear housing reattaches to the subframe and engine, the bolt hole moves closer to the center (thus weight transfers toward the 10 and 2 o'clock directions along the rubber columns).
