Very poor quality
I bought this locking cap for my Ford Escape that gets occasional use and sits in my driveway most of the time. I have filled the tank maybe three times since I bought this cap and the last time I went to fill up I notice that the neck on the cap was cracked. This cap is very cheaply made and while it is inexpensive, is a waste of time and money. Spend a little more and get a genuine Motorcraft part. Locking gas cap.
I received this locking gas cap about 3 weeks ago. It is awesome. I feel so much better about the security of my truck. It works great it's easy to work. When you put it on you just click it three times to the right. And when you take it off you just turn the key and it comes right off when you turn to the left. This locking gas cap works great on my ‘97 F-150. At under $11.00 shipped it’s a super deal to keep kids from dumping what ever into your tank or keep some from stealing your fuel. The plastic looks fresh as well as the package - bright orange. I was kind of afraid this would be really old new stock, if it is…it was properly stored. Photos are obviously after install - came with two bright shinny keys marked GAS.

Great locking gas cap, would buy again.
Is a good buy, works as it should, no problems with either of the keys going in to the lock hole. Doesn twist as many times to the full tightness as the stock cap, but tightens down as it should, just a little different at first, any other locking gas cap i imagine will do the same thing. Seems very wimpy.
Does seem brittle and cheaply made, although it works fine. One tap from a tiny hammer and will probably shatter into 1,000 bits.
