Firebird headlamp door repair.
This is a good inexpensive way to repair a malfunctioning door on a Pontiac Firebird. It is relatively easy for a do it your selfer, but a metal version of the same part might be a better value if you are paying someone else to do it for you. The plastic gears seem to fail again after a few years, so if you are paying big bucks for someone else to install it, a metal one that should not fail again might be a better fix. It would be nice if the manufacturer would include the necessary adhesive to glue the housing back together so you have everything you need to complete the repair.
