Part fit perfectly. Unfortunately, it turns out my compressor came apart on the inside when the old clutch came apart. Through everything out of balance. Five stars for the new clutch.
Fixed my AC blasting warm air after it was working for an hour
My 2004 Ford F-150 5.4L FX4 truck AC was shutdown off and blast warm air after it was on for about one hour. The outside weather temperature was ranging from 85 to 101 degrees and shutting down the AC functions. I check the refrigerant (R-143a) pressures and settings and found nothing was wrong in refrigerant capacity. So i checked the AC Compressor and found the gap between AC Hub and AC Clutch was beyond its optimal range (.14-.30) by a very small amount, so I replaced the Clutch Hub and the AC has been working great, cooling great and not shutting down down blasting warm air. It may fix your issue. There are less expensive clutch hubs out there and is worth the risk of replacing. It's a 5-10min job to replace. I used a Dewalt 1/4 inch impact drill with a 9 inch socket extension to remove the 8mm bolt. There's a washer (gap spacer) in the old clutch hub that you'll need for the replacement. The space washer is located in the chamber where the clutch hub slips on the clutch plate - It doesn't look like it's in there, but it's there. Use a very small straight edge screw driver or a stretched out paper clip to remove it. Don't lose it. It's very important that you use the same gap washer for the replacement to work correctly. Otherwise you are paying $30 for Fords spacer (5 washers - different sizes) kit and $10 Space Gap tool. Not to mention spending a lot more time for this simple 5-10mins fix. Good Luck!!!
This is a good replacement for the fautly design of my original clutch. It was easy to install and has been working fine for the past couple of weeks I hope it lasts!
