Let my mechanic install this because drilling the needed hole without a lift was just plain too hard for this old man. It went on fine and has definitely improved the steering on my 1998 Tahoe. Would definitely recommend if you have any steering wheel shake on washboard roads. Be sure to check the lug nut torque on Tahoe's, it's high at 140 lbs and many shops don't get them tight enough.

Put on where Chevy forgot
1500 Chevy 4wd never had these. 2500 did. My installer (friend) recommended to weld the base plate on. So far, it really helps smooth the steering. You really need to purchase a bellows kit, too.

Great but instructions are horrible
Works great once installed. Comes with two different sets of instructions and only one is labeled. Cover with a giant bolt and nut that you don't need and didn't come with the thick washer it says you need.
