the cable is just too long
everything looked good when I received the cable but soon found that the inner cable and the release spring are too long for the vehicle. The outer sheath, though, is just right and fit is perfect. The inner cable is too long by 6" and the release spring is too long by 3". I was able to get it to work though. I brought it to a heavy equipment service store and got the inner cable and spring cut and reterminated. overall, I would not advise the average diy-er to buy this cable. it's more headache than its worth.
