This cpu was easy to install and performs *decent*(27-33 fps on battlefield1). The old cpu i removed (Core 2 Duo *old cpu) can be seen in the picture with the chip inside the plastic bag. The new cpu makes the system able to boot u faster than it ever did on the old cpu. I highly recommend this cpu to anyone with a Socket T type cpu slot / LGA 775 socket. Just make sure your MoBo is updated to the latest bios version and that it is compatible with the Core 2 Quad Q6700. Anyways this was a great buy!

I have an 11 year old Dell Precision 390 Workstation which had a Core2 Duo Processor. The quad Q6700 fits straight in to the 975X motherboard and I am using the standard Dell cooler. I am not a gamer so no heat problems. I used Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste. The Core2 Quad Q6700 has given my PC a new lease of life with some tasks, particularly photographic programs, exporting files much faster and general operation snappier. Overall very pleased.

This processor made a HUGE difference in GTA 5's performance on an old discarded PC, coupled with a low profile 30 watt gt 1030 GPU. I'm able to play fairly modern AAA games that take advantage of the extra cores and I couldn't be happier.

The IHS was quite heavily gouged on one end and I had to sand it down so it could make proper contact with the heatsink. Therefore deducting one star. Otherwise performs as expected.

It was replaced with Core2 duo E6400 and worked without any problem. It got really faster and stable (Cinebenchr15 multi score from 91 to 263). The CPU temp got bit higher than core2 duo with my slim PC case, so CPU fan was replaced as well.
