Has a good mix of old and new with 6 SATA connectors, a parallel ATA connector (IDE), PCI express as well as PCI slots, and supports up to 8 gigs of DDR2. It even has an onboard RAID controller capable of RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 and Matrix configurations. This means that it should also be compatible with JBOD configs. Overall a good product and I'm 100% satisfied. This board DOES work with core 2 quad series CPUs. It should be noted that with Windows 10 you might have some issues with the RAID controller, as Win 10 doesn't seem to be able to recognize any disks configured for any type of RAID (although it DOES recognize the controller). In this case I recommend using the software RAID which is built in to Win 10.

Best board I've used. NOTE: don't let your little brother have a screwdriver near a motherboard. Bad outcomes are common.
