ASUS P5B-VM SE
This is one of the better Socket 775 motherboards I have bought. Has most of the features of the higher-end gaming boards without the overheating problems. BIOS allows lots of overclocking features and is easy to configure. Has old-style EIDE & floppy ports. My main reason for purchasing this board was the 4 SATA ports and 4 memory slots. It runs everything that I have thrown at it so far (Q9550 processor - 8 GB Memory - Nvidia PCI-E Video) It's not as fast as my i7, but it runs all the great old games I put on there for the kids (Doom3, GTA5, BioShock etc), all under Windows 10. All you could ask for in a motherboard that cost less than $40.

first exp with a socket 775 board
first 775 i messed with. took a while to figure out i needed to switch the 368 jumper in the bios so i could use the ide hd, till my sata gets here. after that was a breeze. OCed to 15%, seems stable. when my new mem gets here, will try higher. love the board so far though.
